Bobcats Will Face No. 11 Incarnate Word

BOZEMAN — Montana State secured the No. 6 seed in the 2023 Football Championship Subdivision playoffs as the NCAA Board of Directors Finance Committee approved an increase of seeded teams to 16 on Friday, Nov. 19. The Bobcats' six seed marks their highest since 2012 when they were handed the No. 5 overall seed. Montana State will open the FCS Playoffs at Bobcat Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 26, hosting No. 11 Incarnate Word. Montana State, which is fresh off of a 55-21 win over rival Montana on Saturday, earned a share of the Big Sky Conference championship and finished 10-2 in 2023. Running back Sean Chambers accounted for three touchdowns in the win over Montana, while wide receiver Isaiah Ifanse saw his first action of the season. The Bobcats and Grizzlies represent the Big Sky Conference in the FCS Playoffs. Montana will face No. 10 Sacramento State at home on Nov. 26.
