Arsenal Liverpool Premier League

Liverpool Go Second with Thumping Four-Goal Victory Over Arsenal

Reds Keep Pressure on Chelsea with Emphatic Win

Liverpool kept the heat on league leaders Chelsea with a resounding 4-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Reds dominated the match from start to finish, with Mohamed Salah scoring twice and Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota adding one apiece. The victory moved Liverpool up to second in the Premier League table, just one point behind Chelsea.

Arsenal, meanwhile, dropped to fifth place with the defeat. They have now lost their last three matches in all competitions and will be looking to bounce back when they face Manchester United next weekend.

The match was a one-sided affair, with Liverpool controlling possession and creating the better chances throughout. Salah opened the scoring in the first half with a clinical finish from inside the area.

Firmino doubled Liverpool's lead in the second half with a header from a corner, before Jota made it three with a close-range finish. Salah then added his second of the match in the dying minutes to complete the rout.

The victory was a welcome boost for Liverpool after their disappointing draw with Manchester City last weekend. It also marked the first time that they have beaten Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium since 2014.

Arsenal, on the other hand, will be disappointed with their performance. They were outplayed by Liverpool in every area of the pitch and will need to improve significantly if they are to challenge for the title this season.
