The future of homebuilding is taking shape in Georgetown, Texas, where the robotic printer from homebuilder ICON is putting the finishing touches on the last of 100 3D-printed houses in the Wolf Ranch neighborhood.

Using a 475-ton Vulcan 3D printer, ICON has constructed single-story, three- to four-bedroom homes, creating the world's largest community of 3D-printed residences. The Vulcan printer pipes layer by layer to build each home, a process similar to desktop 3D printing but on a much larger scale.
